Jacoby Soter has worked with UP since 2023, initially as a participant in the Youth and Adults Transforming School Together (YATST) program, and currently in his role as a Youth Program Specialist. During his time working with UP, he has been involved in Restorative Practices (RP) programming, supported Student Voice Advisory work, co-created Reimagining Accountability and Feedback Together (RAFT) curriculum, and acted as a mentor for interns in the Youth Internship Program ( YIP ).

Hailing from Fairfax, Jacoby attended Bellows Free Academy, where he was a member of his school board and worked with his district administrators to advocate for students and effect meaningful change. In the fall he is attending Colorado College where he will be majoring in Environmental Science, as well as continuing to run cross country and track.

Jacoby’s skills in facilitation, leadership, organization, and planning, as well as his continuous commitment to Youth-Adult Partnership have shone through in all of his work. As he takes his next steps, we have no doubt he will bring his passion with him as he continues to inspire those around him.
