UP for Learning is hiring a Program Director & 1-2 Program Associates

Program Director

We are looking to hire a Program Director with a passion for youth voice and expertise in restorative approaches for our rapidly growing, dynamic nonprofit.  UP’s mission is empowering youth and adults to reimagine and transform education together. UP for Learning helps educational institutions across the country fully engage youth in their own learning and in reimagining and transforming education. We utilize research-based models that reshape the student-teacher relationship to one of shared ownership and shared responsibility. UP offers facilitation, strategies, tools, and ongoing coaching to ensure that learning is engaging for everyone and youth are fully empowered. The UP Program Director provides leadership for our innovative programs, and is an expert in designing curriculum and facilitating learning with both youth and adults. Additionally, the Program Director is deeply engaged in forwarding the mission of UP through collaborative planning, communications, and development.

 

This full-time position is a mix of virtual and on-site work, with our head office in Montpelier. A deep understanding of Restorative Practices/Justice and Social Emotional Learning in the educational setting is our top priority. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, curriculum design and facilitation (virtual and in-person), relationship and development skills are required.  A proven capacity to work independently and be an integral member of our team is essential.  A Masters of Education (or substantial equivalent education and experience) preferred. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 with a competitive benefits package.

Program Associates

UP’s mission is empowering youth and adults to reimagine and transform education together. The UP Program Associate provides support to leadership for our innovative programs. The Associate is passionate about youth voice, a confident self-starter, and comfortable in the role of facilitator with both youth and adults.  Additionally, the Program Associate is deeply engaged in forwarding the mission of UP through collaborative planning and communications.

 These positions may be full or part-time based on expertise and experience. The positions are a mix of virtual and on-site work, with our head office in Montpelier. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and facilitation (virtual and in-person), and relationship skills are required.  A proven capacity to work independently and be an integral member of our team is essential.  A Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Education or Public Health (or equivalent) are preferred. The salary range for this position is $40,000 – $43,000 with a competitive benefits package.
