Cale Ellingson first connected with UP for Learning in middle school through Cultivating Pathways to Sustainability, and went on to work closely with the Restorative Practices team throughout his time at Montpelier High School. Now a summer intern with UP, he supports survey design, data collection, and analysis as part of the organization’s youth-driven work.

He is currently studying Statistics at the University of Vermont (UVM) and expects to graduate in the spring of 2027. He is excited to start working with the University’s new Justice Research Initiative, which will begin in the fall, in collaboration with the Department of Corrections (DOC) and UVM Health.

Cale lives in Burlington, where he plays ultimate frisbee with the UVM team and is always on the lookout for a great bagel.
