The Steering Committee is an innovative multi-stakeholder committee that creatively guides the dynamic work of the WSA Demands, serves as a communication hub for the demand-based working groups, and ensures that the WSA Demands are centered in every aspect of the work.
Two youth-adult teams from UP for Learning will be presenting at this annual conference, which brings together middle schoolers from across the state to teach and learn from each other through student-led workshops and presentations. This year's theme is Beyond Bullying: Creating Communities of Equity and Respect.
The subcommittee's goals will be to review the district's equity policies, conduct an equity audit, engage the community, especially school families, and communicate the purpose and process to the larger school community.
